The Smart & Final Charitable Foundation strives to give back to and nourish the communities we serve in California, Arizona and Nevada through our Pillars of Focus:

• Education
• Hunger Relief
• Team Sports & Youth Development
• Disaster Relief

If your non-profit organization is located in a community we serve, is registered as a 501(c)3 and meets one of the Pillars of Focus, we encourage you to apply for a donation.

Exclusions

Although the Foundation would like to provide funds to every organization, we will not fund the following:

• Individuals or for-profit organizations
• Political parties, organizations or activities
• Capital campaigns
• Advocacy programs
• Meetings, conferences or workshops
• Animal advocacy programs
• Teacher appreciation, dances, luncheons, graduations, or promotions
• Environmental agencies or groups, or community clean-ups
• Community festivals or fairs

Due to the high volume of requests, please note: 

• Only online applications are accepted
• A minimum of 60 days is required for review
• If your organization is approved, an email will be sent from the Foundation
• While we would like to fund every request, the needs are often greater than our resources and we may not be able to respond to every request favorably
